Welcome to Overtures, the living Musical Theatre Archive. Overtures is the starting point for all aspects of Musical Theatre research from academic studies to a general love and interest in the vibrant world of the stage musical.
Overtures is the internet home of the Bunnett-Muir Musical Theatre Archive Trust. This new Charitable Trust has been gifted one of the largest worldwide musical theatre collections, a collection which will continue to grow and be updated. The centre piece is the impressive audio and video collection of recordings dating back to the nineteenth century housed on disc, piano roll, tape and CD / DVD.
In addition the collection includes sheet music, librettos, posters, programmes, books and memorabilia. The most recent gift is that of the Dan Crawford, King’s Head Theatre Archive which holds a special position in London’s musical theatre heritage.
Overtures is linked to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Theatre and Performance Collection with its amazing theatrical collections and archives.

The Landor The Mayflower Palladium
Overtures will again sponsor the first prize for The Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer Of The Year. The competition which is run in conjunction with Mercury Musical Developments who award The Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize will be held on Sunday 27th May 2012 in London's West End.
